Exploring Nāda Yoga
Nāda Yoga means “union through sound.” Sound is the meditator between form and formlessness. We call the yoga of sound in general Nāda Yoga, but it also more specifically refers to the practice of music as yoga. It is an ancient spiritual art and science of inner transformation through sound and tone. Meditation on sound is one universal path to Self-realization, accessible to anyone, and appropriate for people of any religion or spiritual aspiration. Nāda yoga includes such practices as; mantra, kirtan, bhakti (devotion), japa, vocal toning and raga.
My wonderful teacher, Anandra George, who I am grateful to her wisdom and teachings, shared this beautiful explanation of Nāda Yoga. Through her program, Heart of Sound, I've learned to work with sound as a modality of healing. I offer private sound sessions using meditative toning and Vedic mantra to teach you the pathway to heart. Schedule a sound session with me...
